Does It Rain in Dublin... - 02/07/2009

....Yes and it snows but that won't stop these guys "working smarter to outperform". That was the message from the boss to the whole team on this fast and furious visit to the Fair City of Dublin.

Later than ever the delegates invites were in the post and there was trepidation at the likely response; though beautiful Dublin in February was a far cry from Marrakech twelve months before; why were we ever concerned, almost 100% take up and despite the short timescale the event was planned, inspection visit completed and the airline seats secured on a variety of routes.

Delegates arrived at Carton House in crisp but clear conditions and were amazed at the beauty of the destination and the sympathetic fusion of ancient and modern. A quick lunch was followed by an intense afternoon session, then dinner at the outstanding Firehouse restaurant.

Day two was all go, with important business sessions followed by a buffet lunch then team building seeing the sites outside in the snow. The delegates as ever were undaunted and astonished the organisers with the success they achieved.

A Gala Dinner with live entertainment (Irish Dancing), a few refreshments and a couple of hours sleep and the event was over.

"no matter what the venue the outcome is always the same fantastic, the best once again" said one delegate as he strode from reception to a waiting coach to begin the journey home.
